Today's Ceramic Coatings are a make up of SiO2 (Silicone Dioxide) and carrier solvents. When applied to different surfaces (ranging from interior and exterior surfaces) the carrier solvents evaporate, creating a rainbow affect, and the SiO2 bonds to the specific substrate being protected. The solvents are then "leveled down" or removed. Once removed, the SiO2 begins hardening or "curing" to the paint. This may take 12-48 hours. The cure time varies from manufacturer. Once fully cured, the surface is protected.

"What does it protect against?"

- Ceramic Coatings protect your vehicles surface from acid rain, bird pooping etching, sap etchings, acid from bugs guts, and dog drool.

"How long does a Ceramic Coating last?"

- The length of time that a Coating is on a vehicle can vary. While some entry level Coatings last 1 year, other professional grade and professionally installed Coatings can last 7+ years or more.

"Do I need to re-apply it ever again?"

- With proper care and maintenance, a Coating won't need to be re-applied until the full longevity/warranty is up. If a vehicle is NOT maintained properly, and neglected, then a re-application may need to occur. This is very few and far between because it is professionally recommended that your Coating receives a quarterly "Professional Maintenance" service from the company that installed it.

- During the "Professional Maintenance" the installer will check the coating's condition, water behavior properties, slickness etc. This is mandatory to keep a warranty activated and is also a benefit to you as the owner of the vehicle. By checking the Coating regularly, if any damage occurs, they can be remedied before severe damage could happen.

"What are the main benefits of a Ceramic Coating?"

1.) Protects Original Clear-Coat From Excessive Damage

- As stated above, and what I tell all clients; it's better to have damage in your Coating than in the factory clear-coat. This is because I can fix and or remove the Coating/damage, then re-apply the Ceramic again without ever jeopardizing the original factory clear-coat. Remember we want to protect the original clear-coat from excessive polishing. By polishing we remove layers of the clear-coat and once done enough times, paint degradation will happen.

2.) Upholds Re-sale Value

- A properly maintained Ceramic Coating can make your vehicle look brand new for years to come. Some defects that are in the Coating can be removed, as if they never happened. This helps ensure that "brand" new look for years to come.

3.) Creates An Easier At-Home Wash Experience

- If you've never washed, or dried a Ceramic Coated vehicle, the experience will have you thinking "Why didn't I invest in this earlier?" A slick and smooth surface creates for easier and faster washing. Once cleaned, it feels as if it's brand new. Paint the at-home washing with my recommend "Professional Maintenance" and it'll look and feel like driving a new car everyday.

"What surfaces on my vehicle can be Ceramic Coated?"
